@mikelorenz121 there aren't a lot of "strong" female characters in tv shows or films that aren't just a female vessel with mens emotions projected upon them...breasts with a gun, dangerously suppressing anything she feels apart from aggression, because, again, that's what society values highest - the traditional male role. and if the media creates a woman playing that role, then they get to advertise her as a badass female character and pray the feminists like it
@mikelorenz121 they're also (arguably more often) portrayed as the heroes, strong father figures, protective and aggressive main characters - all characters and characteristics that are highly valued by our society...women are usually portrayed as promiscuous sluts, controlling wives, docile daughters, crazy ex girlfriends, daphne-esque sidekicks, cold bitches...all made to look weak or shameful because their rampant emotion (or lack thereof) by our society.
@Dancerpaw Look at how men are portrayed in the media. They're always either buffoons, perverts, psycho's, dead beats, scumbags etc etc... All the violence in shows and films are perpetrated on men. Do a search on youtube or on google for 'misandry' or 'misandry in the media' and have a look. You'll be surprised. maybe even illuminated.
Women are so easily shut down when you reject them, and men can't exactly be physically forced to do anything except in rare cases. Maybe if it was a tall, fat, overbearing woman and he was a short guy, people would step up, but for the most part I doubt anyone would do anything.

@mikelorenz121 yes, perhaps i was unnecessarily sarcastic, but my message was the truth: men are generally not "bashed" by the media.

@Dancerpaw It doesn't have to be a thing of beauty, it simply has to reflect my disgust at your flippant attitude. Hence, fuck you.
