During the Korean War they were viewed as very unreliable and yet within fifteen years they'd become one of the toughest, most respected militarys in the world. Koreans are a bit xenophobic but I like them and I remember very well they put ads in papers all over the world thanking countries for helping out during the Korean War on the 50th anniversary.

@SirHungryHippo In addition, both the Armed Forces of the ROK (South Korea) and the US Military possess Anti-Ballistic Missiles and other countermeasures, which, in the event of a launch, would be used to intercept any missiles in flight. Both the Armed Forces of the US and the ROK have been preparing for a Northern assault for decades: all possibilities have been prepared for. In essence, the DPRK would have no way of attaining victory in any sort of conflict with the South.

@SirHungryHippo I´m assuming you´re referring to the fact that the DPRK (North Korea) has access to nuclear warheads. Keep in mind, however, that North Korean missile propulsion systems are far from in working order (recall the tests that were conducted, and how the missiles essentially all failed and crashed into the ocean).
