The Big Dance is a week-long celebration of the joy of dance organised by the Mayor of London in partnership with Arts Council England, which aims to provide a showcase of physically exciting and emotionally uplifting movement that people of all ages and backgrounds can watch and take part in: www.london.gov.uk/bigdance.
As part of the Big Dance, Jitterbugs (www.jitterbugs.co.uk) put on lindy hop demonstrations at shopping centres on Oxford St, London's biggest shopping street, and Julie invited regulars from her classes to come along and enjoy a few dances with her. Seeing as Jitterbugs' main venue is sadly going to be closed for the next six weeks for refurbishment, people grabbed the opportunity to come out and dance!
Location: West One shopping centre, by the entrance to Bond Street tube station, Oxford St, London
Cast: Julie and Francois of Jitterbugs, Jitterbugs students and regulars, London commuters, tourists, with passersby and Ceroc dancers also joining in as well
you dont need Arts council funding to do this...
do this for nothing.. get rid of arts council!

Yeah, public Lindy demos! Looks like you've got a nice mix of ages.
