@jelainegin follow up- I have now read the same "read in an interview" that this song was about his getting over his drug use AND that his uncle used to scare RS & his siblings with stories about a spiderman crawling through your window when you slept & it scared him to bits when he was little.
There is nothing to suggest his father molested him. I've been a fan and read everything I can find on RS since the early 80's, so I'm going with this is not true. And a really ugly thing to say.
