Amazing. Simply amazing. The way she emotes through her singing is incredible. She is one of the most underrated actresses on Broadway in my opinion and deserves to get more starring roles because she can obviously hold her own even with a huge song like this.

I think Coleen definitely takes the role to heart. She sings as if she's the character, timid, and lost, but with spirit and fire. She is vocally quite talented, and brings the song to life with her acting. Makes me think, "whoaa" every time. ....

Everything about this scene is incredible. Coleen is a perfect Lucy, yes Linda Eder is a beautiful singing but Coleen really gives Lucy life through her acting. But aside from Coleen, then directing in this scene is beautiful. When Lucy sings her last "if someone like you" then all the actors walk on past her... it gives me chills every time. I love this scene so much!

Linda Eder was never known for her acting ability, no argument there. But strictly from a technique perspective, Eder is consistently superior, she owns this role. Why do you think so many other singers want to be favorably compared with her?
