Neither of those men are mentioned in my videos. Also, I know for a fact that some celebs off-set their carbon footprint every time they travel. The entertainment industry isn't perfect, but a lot of people are working on improving it and their own actions every day.

Don't listen too the haters. The feeling of impotence that is attached to this subject is hard to break out of. Every little bit counts. We don't need to change what we are doing. We need to change how we are doing it.

Thanks for your positive comment! My goal is to help make environmentalism more accessible to mainstream America and beyond. Extreme approaches/"all or nothing" hasn't worked, so I think it's important to inspire with lots of options and encouragement rather than harsh judgements.

How much do you spend on cosmetics?

Hardly anything. The ingredients are as natural as possible too. I like to keep things simple and healthy (for myself and the planet). I wear more make-up for the youtube videos and for social events, but don't feel attatched to wearing it all the time.

Bio-diesel (especially recycled veg. oil) has the potential to really reduce our dependecy on foreign oil which is better for the planet, our economy, and politics. It's cleaner and can be made domestically, reducing the danger of oil spills + wasted energy on importation. Every technology has room for improvement. I'd like to see bio-diesel made from organic vegetable oil. Biodiesel . org is a great site for clarifying misconceptions about this fuel. Thanks for watching. Shine on! Rachel

No offense, but most "environmentalists" are hypocrites. Yeah, Al Gore's gonna tell me to conserve while he's riding around in chauffeured limos. And that "Live Earth" concert...how much energy did THAT use?

As for hybrids, I read that they're no better than gas-powered cars and you have to drive about 125,000 miles to break even.

But those Rich Tree Huggers like Alison Stewart, I don't consider them green celebrities, if they were, they would have listened to my energy solution about using CO2 as butane and higher hydrocarbons. They're gonna get 1up'd by the Lucidtomr.
