J. S. Bach: Sonate E-dur, BWV 1035, Mvt. I: Adagio ma non tanto. 2007Cheng-Yu LU Flute Recital. Flute by Cheng-Yu LU呂承祐 and Piano by Yu-Ching Wang. Live performance at Ya-Ying Recital Hall, Tainan, 2007.
Great performance!! Im working on this peice at the moment ready for my year 11 TEE exam at school :( and my teacher suggested that i check out a recording to see how the piano accompaniment fits...thanks!!
Nice performance. But I should suggest you find out what "Bach grace notes" are. You played them all in this piece like actually grace notes. Bach intends his grace notes to be more of the same pattern of the notes following. Say, if there's a grace note following a group of four sixteenths, he meant for the performer to play the grace note like a sixteenth too.
thanx! I love the way you play this piece. I've just been given it, and it was helpful to hear it well played. I now have a good idea on how I'm going to play it. great tone!

Thanks for that!
I've done a lot on researching it and tried to know Bach's thoughts.
I don't think we should play that way all the time - one of the reasons is that, if we do so, some particular rhythnic patterns cannot be heard.
I've also asked some maestros for their suggestions; however, many different interpretations appeared.
Maybe that's why playing Bach is fun and we enjoyed listening to his pieces: there are still many suprises! lol
