WHAMS KYDS EPIC dance team Alice N Wonderland Competition Routine

This is a run through of Woodland Hills Academy KYDS EPIC dance team to a themed Mix of Alice In Wonderland. It was our performance piece for the Beyond the Bell Competition 2009. It was also the first performance for many of my students and i must say i am proud of their accomplishments. This is definately a great start and i look forward to seeing them grow.

@thecrazycheerleader9 Actually, all the girls were supposed to have blonde wigs On! Since Alice from Alice in wonderland had blonde hair and all the artist in this music mix had blonde hair i wanted to tie it all in by having them all wear wigs unfortunately we couldnt afford to get one for all the girls so we had to scrap that idea at the last minute

@thecrazycheerleader9 well i wanted the dance 2b more cute & whimsical especially since it was gonna b Alice n Wonderland themed But more importanly each girl had a specific colored dress that was gonna represent the character she was portraying. i.e. green for the madd hatter, brown for the march hare. white for the white rabbit, black/purple for the queen of hearts, pink/babyblue ruffles was cheshire, orange doormouse, red tweedle Dee/dum

Ummm work on being together and having a lot MORE energy, dance isnt easy especially in a school team. you have to commit. if my girls had that kind of energy in the video they would be out of the team.

other than that. just have fun, and dont look soo stiff.

haha NEW as in NEW to MY dancing style. and the way i teach which is usually harder and faster than most other instructors.

Just so u know " PeytonIsSoBored ", this was none of our first times in a dance team OR class. Dancing was not "new to us." And, yes, it was just a turn. And good job for u on the whole "dancing since you've basically been able to walk" thing. That is SO nice to know.

Now, Michael, u can delete this comment, cuz I just wanted to clear that up.

ahh, no it was jus a turn. These were my youngest students & for most it was their first time dancing so i taught them basics on technique & made attempts to fix their errors but i also understood that since dancing was new for them i cant expect them to have the same technique like sumone taking dance for many years. thanks for the comment :]

At 0:27, is that supposed to be a pirrouete? I'm watching the girl in the middle with the blue skirt and her foot only went up to about her ankle...a pirrouete goes to your knee...i know because i've been taking dance lessons in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop starting when I was 3.
