  • Basically, it means if you install Android on a Nokia N800, it will not recharged. You need to reinstall the original OS and get it charged. Then you can reinstall Android until the battery dies or before the battery dies?

  • That is Ricky's theory at the moment, yes.

  • Will this problem be fixed?

  • I'm sure it will. This is very much a work in progress. There aer a lot of things that don't work, like sound, for instance.

  • Does it work on N810?

  • Yes, with keyboard support.

  • It's only 1.6 and hasn't been updated rending the project dead. They should carry on work with the n900 port and forget about the n800 because there isn't enough RAM. I really wish it did work as I'm getting an n800. I'll have to settle with Angstrom.

  • can the webcam still be used?

  • i read that sound wasnt working as of maybe 2009, did this get fixed, cant find any articles about it

  • hey der was one software, dnt remember exact name, sum M1 or sumthing like tat, is it the same?

  • calling all developers to help with JETDROID

  • Some updates. Touchscreen keyboard still crashes badly. OS runs much faster nowadays. There is a 3rd party app for a keyboard replacement that's still viable. No bluetooth meaning no BT keyboard. Battery charging works fine in NitDroid now, no need to reinstall to charge. Hard to call it useful but it's definitely coming along.

  • Have you considered making a multi-boot? Also have you tried any more recent releases to see if it fixes the charging or compatibility?

  • And here I was hoping it would be a viable replacement for maemo. Oh well. WAY too slow. Is it just the limited hardware, or does it need to be optimized to use the gfx hardware better?

  • @chachachazippo2 Do a Google search for "Android x86" and Bob's your uncle!

  • why would you buy the technologically outdated iPhone which is overpriced if it's not for the OS?
