she by a 7 points.. and by my account if sasha landed her 2nd jump the flip..it will be a battle at the gold..this batch of ladies are the most exciting to watch...unlike the 2010 olympics!

Sasha actually had less GOE on her lutz than Shizuka. Shizuka had a 0 and Sasha had -GOE.
-
I wouldnt compare....as competors Shizuka is stronger but Spirals, Spins, and Technique in jumps Cohen wins....they both when they are on are untouchable
-
Mao Asada skated to this music for her world championship title in 08......I think this was sold but comparing subtle artistry to the explosive grace of Cohen is like apples and oranges,....but it was sold
-
sasha only beat her in the sp because of the goe on her lutz and because of the GOE on that huge flip that sadly was on an inside edge

I didn't realize that Shizuka was also using a choice of music by Chopin- fantaisie impromtpu. It is a challenging music for one to do the figure skating to. Its beautiful and an elegantly fitting piece for Shizuka Arakawa to choose this for her program. I also tried to play this on piano... it is VERY difficult for one to play with small hands.

I don't agree about Irina's edges, all you have to do is watch her spirals at this Olympics to see how choppy her change of edge spiral was, it actually was quite horrible, and everything in catch-foot Bielman style, not good either. The way Shizuka lets go of her leg and completes the edge is amazing, I don't think either Sasha or Irina could do that.
