Repairing the capstan gooey wheel on a 1979 HP-85.
These were a part of the Hewlett Packard 8000 series computers that came out in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
After many years these wheels that drive the tape became very sticky, soft and gooey making them unreliable to turn the tape. Here are detailed photos of the original capstan wheel. http://ideawindow.com/hp-85.html
