moon shot in morning

I took this at 6:30 a.m. on 12-12-11 to see how it looked through my Panasonic DMC-FZ35 camera, and although I was surprised, I shouldn't be, but I saw the moon moving across the sky, and was more surprised at the speed of it. I had it set on a tripod, but thought I would post it.

I can't remember the zoom, to be honest, but that sounds right. I was trying all sorts of settings to get some decent shots, most come out looking like the sun rather than the moon. I had better luck shooting the moon in day light. don't get that many clear nights when the moon is a full one, so I was sort of lucky. Thanks for posting, I appreciate it.

Finally somebody who uses a tripod to record the moon. Thanks for that. But it looks like the digital zoom was used [beyond the 18X optical zoom. Am I right? I agree that it does indeed move faster than one would think. I was surprised as well. Thank you for sharing:)
