I was working at the Irish Moss plant in the office when that happened. I used to work some evenings too, but did not work that one. Needless to say, I never worked another eveing down there alone.

I'm from NS and I often vacation on the South Shore, where Shag Harbour is located. One night, in the early 2000's, further up the coast in Green Bay, near Petite Riviere, I too saw a strange light. It hovered not far above the bay and moved very slow, this is how I knew it wasn't a plane. There was no sound so it wasn't a helicopter.I watched it till it disappeared over the horizon. To this day I rarely speak of it because of the doubting stares I get. But it happened, truly.
