He's gone now but I had the chance to meet one of my all time favorite actors while he was out talking about the film Pleasantville. Don Knotts was a classic like Coca Cola!

Such a sweet, humble man. Hard to believe he could channel all that energy into a character like Barney Fife. Truly a classic.

I had wanted to meet Don Knotts since I was a child. I grew up in the 1970's watching the wonderful reruns from the Andy Griffith Show and of course I watched him as Cool Mr Furley in Three's Company. He seemed like a lovely man. What a comic genius. He brought so much happiness and laughter to so many people. May the Lord bless Don up there in heaven.
