Basically this Muslim guy says the video is fake, because at his university, he had a prayer vigil for the 9/11 victims. So let me understand this, you're telling me a video is fake because of something you did dozens of miles away??

it is not matter of good and bad: it is a matter of culture and responsibility: if they elected hamas in democratic elections (not that fathah is better, it is just more cleverly cheating Israel) they have to pay for it. maybe not all are bad but they are too few to speak out their voice. I did not see any peace now movement among Arabs' also those living in Israel. There is a cultural reason for this and if we want to survive we should not be blind to this.

Daniel wrote a scenario where a world leader will come to Jerusalem and establish peace between Israel and her neighbors (Daniel 9:27). The Daniel passage confirms that there will be peace in Jerusalem howbeit a short lived peace that will result in a false peace. Jerusalem will indeed be key in any discussion of peace in the Middle East but there will not be true peace in Jerusalem for at least 7 years, that's the 7 years of the Tribulation period as described in Revelation 4-19.

Essentially what I'm saying is they need to use both the carrot and the stick.

Examining the similar conflict in N.Ireland, and learning from the historical example of the G.Friday agreement:

e.g.Offer to lift the humanitarian blockades in exchange for handing in weapons.

Ceasing the construction in controversial areas so as not to block peace efforts.

Committing atrocities just plays into the militant's hands, and allows easy justification for retaliation. The whole bloody cycle will continue.

I agree that Israel has a right to defend itself, and am aware that any conflict causes collateral damage, but Israel's response is illegal internationally.

Their policy seems to be turning up the heat in the Occupied Territories, and one day soon the pressure will have built such that it can no longer be contained, and widespread anti-Israeli sentiment will be exported to other nations.

I agree that peace with Hamas is likely unachievable, but peace with the Palestinian people need not be.

It's no different to Hamas making a video showing the poverty and death in the slums. With text scrolling across the screen stating that's the settlement construction and occupation of the West Bank is illegal under international law, and that the Jews are blocking humanitarian aid.

There are two sides to every story. Nothing is black and white.
