  • Thanks for your kind comments. You have about 30 years to catch up to me with your painting skill. Although I have been sketching and painting for most of my life, but I didn't get really serious about, and practicing painting portraits in oil, until the year 2000. So you see, It took me only about 11 years to sharpen my skill. You still have plenty of time. Have fun painting!

  • Thanks. You are probably quite right. The picture that I was working from was very low on resolution, so I had to make most of it up, and I'm not that well versed in anatomy.

    I'll hide behind "Artistic License".

  • My DVD can teach you what you need to know about how to improve your painting skill. The practice, of course, is still up to you. I wish I had had this information available to me when I was strugglung to learn how to paint. It would have shaved years off learning to paint like I do now. What's that worth to you?

  • Thanks for the compliment. They make what I do worth while.

  • You know you are very inspiring...a full career and then another second career in painting...and I see you are 82 years young. Wow...and I think my time is over at 52...at being able to paint...I have your DVD...is has taught me a lot...and I have watched your videos many times....Thanks for being so generous with your talents.

I think the iron cross is most fitting for you sir...Your calm and kind voice really feels like the mentor I never had. I am working hard to do much much better. Thanks

  • great painting irv!

  • I really enjoy your videos and you are a fantastic artist. But i must say in this painting the left arm doesnt seem quite right, and i think its been over done with the muscle structure.

  • Now that is synergy. Combining your talents to come to this amazing feat. Like the smile in this painting; You make it look so easy.

    Thanks for sharing this.

  • god i wish you were my teacher !

  • You sir are a great inspiration to me, as usually a great painting.
