The Secret Life of Plants was the basis for the 1979 documentary of the same name, with a soundtrack specially recorded by Stevie Wonder called Journey through the Secret Life of Plants.

@joetuuper For some reason, this never came out. It just sat on the shelf. Send One Your Love was a hit single, but the movie never was available until a few years ago.

I read The Secret Life of Plants by Christopher Bird when I was 17 years old. It set me on an amazing journey with plants ever since... this you are seeing is just the beginning of some of the incredible work that has been done. If any of you are interested in going further....start by reading the sequel... "Secrets of the Soil" by Christopher Bird. It wasn't "hidden" knowlege...in fact I remember clearly in the 1970's the books being MAJOR best sellers. It's people TODAY who don't give a shit!

@BazeRdc I totally agree.
I always thought that the movie did not excist until some years ago. First the clip with Stevie's song The secret Life of Plants surfaced the internet. Somewhat later followed by the complete movie on e-bay. Perhaps not the hig quality we're used to these days but it IS the real thing :-)
