Watering the chickens can get to be a chore. So, along with the regular watering I added this automatic waterer to help supplement when we can't keep up with it. This system is also a rain collector (if it ever rain again in Texas).

  • that chicken is dehydrated...stuck on the wrong side of the fence X(

  • @chicklet13231 :) I assure you, she is fine. I think she was just looking for some shade.

  • @daddykirbs Yeah, she's good :D Don't fret! My chickens do that when they are warm. Like dogs panting! :D Have you ever seen a chicken "sweat"?

  • @EBouleyPhotos Nope, I have never seen a chicken sweat. Does it show on there comb, feet, eyes.... or what??

  • I'm sure I could have done something like that. This way I'm able to take apart easily if I need too. Thanks for the thought.

  • don't have to have a large hole if you use parts from RainBarrelParts . com - they have threaded grommet that should work

  • I'm wondering if you couldn't have just hot glued the screen right on to the top of the blue barrel.
