  • lol. Get upers don't want government to censor the internet, but they are ok with the government censoring white nationalist concert in queensland.

    Seriously..

  • I'm sure we all agree, self-regulating and community-based content policing serves our interests better than YouTube-controlled censorship that uses communist-Chinese style filters and punishes users at its sole discretion.

Let's face it, would you rather police yourselves on YouTube or hand over your freedom to a corporation to control all that you say & do?

Please exercise your right to self-regulate and help clean up inappropriate content on YouTube.

Police yourselves or THEY WILL POLICE YOU!

  • @wheezer6au Agreed on all counts... especialy 5, I mean what I consider as "inappropriate" is classed as public entertainment (yer, I'm way old school on this topic). However I would not simply ban everyone... just myself ;-)

Let the PEOPLE decide what THEY don't want to be viewing... I mean it's bloody easy.

P.S. Conroy's filter will have NO EFFECT when it comes to the accessing of "black listed" sites, as there are simply far to many ways to avert the filter... presuming you know how.

  • @soulreape3 sorry buddie... the Internet was "created" by Uni's and latter adopted by the general Public

  • The censor is just there so we don't know what the governments up too they don't care about future generations or our safety....

  • The blacklist will be monitored by an independant body(which does what the government tell it to do)

  • If everyone wants to see this content blocked, then why does it exist?

Making the internet safe? How are websites making our lives unsafe?

  • its Inter-species erotica fucko

  • 1) "Concerns from some user groups..." - as in 95% of the entire country.

    2) The government happily supports the torturous slaughter of animals for our meat industry but no beastiality?

    3) It is important...blocked from free-wil- I mean inappropriate content.

    4) The wild claims that the blacklist will be formed by an independent body... are just that.

    5) "Everyone wants inappropriate blocked" - I don't! Who's definition is inappropriate?

  • Your description is wrong....don't you mean Labor's Stephen Conroy?
