For some reason the marketing of this film has been rirected to a particular audience ,instead of emphasizing the broad spectrum of those who like good epic dramas.But this Movie deserves a wide attention.This is a great film with excellent acting.

Great film. I was really touched by the story and atmosphere in general. The soundtrack song is amazing though it really surprised me beeing a russian speaker. Cossacks are slaves and the the language of the song is not slavic.

Gregoire Colin is NOT 21 years old. That's ridiculous. Obviously no one here has seen his early films. I believe he is at least in his late 20's. If you look at pictures from his films in 1991 he's obviously older than 4 years old. But then, he doesn't look like he's 21 now either. So I don't know what you people are smoking!

he's 21. because he's a year younger than Emmy Rossum who's born in 1986 and he's born in 1987.

Well, I would assume he's a teenager in Olivier Olivier and that was released in 1992. So I would guess he's in his early 30's.
