  • What you will find funny is that some employers ask for a C.E.T. But most of them do not know what it means or what it took to get it. I have been lucky to find a solid career, solid pay, pension, benefits with a great company. Though my career path with this company would be kinda defined as a lateral move on my former career, which I would never have gotten without my MET diploma. Good luck to all.

  • The job market for technologist's, especially MET's has been incredibly difficult. Employers say they have the jobs for us, but when it comes to the hiring the process it is incredibly long and tiresome, super competitive and HR departments just drag things out. The instructors of the MET program are top notch in this program. If you are lucky to get a job with half decent pay, benefits and maybe a pension, hang onto it, else be prepared to look outside the province.

  • @Woodfiber I too graduated from this course. Employment in Manitoba has been a huge disappointment. The RRCC MET program was good but not worth taking due to Manitoba employment conditions.

  • The MET program is very well complimented by equipment that at the time is state of the art. However, having taken the course and graduating in Manitoba I have actually had to move to other areas of the country to utilize those advances as I never could find roles in Manitoba that would pay well and then entertained the use of that equipment. Something else I think leaves something to be desired is certification as a CET. Where by a MET is a secret so more so is certification.
