Have a listen to the music from the classic educational DOS game, "The Treehouse".

0:00 - Brøderbund Software Intro
0:07 - "The Treehouse" theme, on the in-game cassette player. It just keeps looping the 5-second tune in the game.
0:21 - Various songs from the piano, played in different instruments.
4:46 - Full "The Treehouse" theme. It plays after the Brøderbund intro in the game. The song goes for about 2 minutes, and then loops from the start in-game.

  • I want to import raw data from the game using Audicity but when I do any files all I get is screeching noise for 5 sseconds.

Does anybody have a work around so I can upload audio only videos for this site?

  • @Luciferminusone I tried before, but they appear to use an old format that doesn't match any current formats. I'm assuming they are similar to MIDI though. It might be worth trying it in a midi editor or midi player. (I'll have another go at it later)

  • I also find it amazing that a game from 1991 actually displays dates past the year 2000 totally correctly, even to this day.

  • Whoa! This is a blast from the past. Anyone else remember the old Playroom game by Broderbund?

  • @HeliumStudiosOnline Any luck on that?

  • @akumadaiouh Nope. It's either shovelware games like Tycoon or shoot em up games focusing on violence. With today's powerful PC's a game like this would be so easy to make and can add downloadable features to enhance The Treehouse.

(Though keeping it K rated of course to all you sickos lurking)

  • ROFLMAO! I was cleaning a set of books and found the guidebook for this game. I instantly remembered that I used to play this game when I was little. Google'd it and was brought to this page. Beautiful game.
