At three hours old, Anya's set of twin Alpine goat kids are just amazing!

The doeling kid is already walking, and is full of spit and vinegar. Her brother is a milk thief, and is resting his full belly next to his warm dam.

The indignant Jack Russell Terrier, Zepol, protests at being left behind the gate.

Autumn Mist, the guard Llama, makes unhappy noises that there is a camera in her herd.

And the other goats chew their cud as I roll film. :)

@gokory Yes, we milk the does once they get milk in. For the first six weeks, the kids get as much as they want - but the dams are still taken out on the stand for their grain, checked over for health, and we make sure their udder is free from bites, scratches, and that the kids aren't leaving milk - if the doe is *not* milked out, mastitis could develop so it's very important to check.

how darling, i also have goats and just had 3 born on 3/12/10 2 does and a buck, there mommas alpine not sure on daddy, my husband and i really enjoy the colors in the alpine, looking forward to enjoying your fun filled summer days ahead with you
