WGAN "Hello Maine" Promo, 1982

From November of 1982, here is a :30 "Hello Maine" promo for WGAN-TV. Frank Gari's "Hello" promo series is probably the most famous local TV promo campaign. Florence Warner sings the lead, as she would 22 years later when WGME (previously WGAN) brought back the promo for the station's 50th anniversary. Only Kim Block (appears 12 seconds in) is still with the station from this promo.

in fact, it was the most popular image campaign jingle ever. do a search for "hello news".

I remember this jingle to different words--it was used by WMTV, the NBC affilate in Madison, Wisconsin. They used the words "Makes no difference where I go/You're the best home town I know/Hello Madison! Hello Wisconsin! TV 15 loves you!"
