Hello all! So, the 4 characters/items involved in this chapter are Bailey, Brentley, Diane, and the truck. Diane is Brentley's mom. This story is written in Bailey's P.O.V and Brentley's P.O.V. so, let me know what you think. here is Chapter One:

My P.O.V.

(12 years ago):

*flashback to when she was 5.*

"Brentley! You got dirt in my hair!" I shouted.
"Oh phooey! Suck it up Bailey! You're such a girl!" he exclaimed.
"Duh dummy...tell me something I don't know." I proudly said.
All of a sudden Brentley looked down. I felt sorrowful because I thought I upset him. I hated upsetting him because deep down he was my best friend and I did not want to lose him. I wanted to know what was wrong, so I asked him.
"Brentley? Are you alright?"
"Totally girl...just thought I'd say bye," he sadly stated.
"Wait why are you saying bye Brentley?" I curiously asked.
"Well, because I'm moving today to Texas. My daddy got a new job over there."
I wanted to burst out in tears. This boy, the one who I had known since we were in diapers, was leaving me. But, I put on a happy face, because he didn't like it when I cried.
"Well, I'ma miss you Brentley! Don't forget me now!"
"I could never forget you Bailey. You're my best friend. You always will be" he said.
"Good!" I said with happiness, but at the same time I wanted to die.
"Brentley honey! Time to go...say goodbye!" his parents shouted from their beat-up pickup truck.
He turned to me and gave me a hug. He felt so warm. I didn't want to let him go for fear that I would never get to hug him again.
"Bye Bailey. Hope to see you soon." Brentley claimed sadly.
"Same here. Bye." I said with the worst feeling.
Then, I watched him get into that pick-up truck, wave good-bye and drive off.

Brentley's P.O.V.;

We were playing in her sandbox. We were having so much fun, but I was going to have to tell her some bad news. Today was my last day in Sacramento. I had lived here for 5 years, since I knew Bailey. But, my dad got a new job and we had to leave to go to Texas. I had not told her yet because I wanted her to be happy.
"Brentley! You got dirt in my hair!"
The sound of her voice woke me from my trance. I didn't want her to see I was upset so I acted mean towards her.
"Oh phooey! Suck it up Bailey! You're such a girl!
I felt bad about saying it, but I could tell she could not tell I was upset, for her smart comment back to me was the normal Bailey.
"Duh dummy....tell me something I don't know."
Then I looked down at the ground. Her calling me dummy was something I was going to miss the most. It reminded me of how she was like towards me. Mean, but also cute in her own little way.
She must have noticed something was wrong because the way she looked at me.
"Brentley? Are you alright?" she then asked me.
I was not ready to tell her just yet so I kind of got around to saying it in a total chilled out way.
"Totally girl...just thought I'd say bye."
"Wait why are you saying bye Brentley?" she asked with concern in her voice.
I figured it was time to tell her. It hurt to know that in a few seconds I would upset my best friend. But, she deserved to know.
"Well, because I'm moving today to Texas. My daddy got a new job over there."
I could see the pain on her face. I expected her to either slap me, or even run away. But, she is full of surprises.
"Well, I'ma miss you Brentley! Don't forget me now!"
I wanted to cry. But, I was a boy and boys don't cry.
"I could never forget you Bailey. You're my best friend. You always will be" I reassured her.
She looked hurt but put on a smiling face as she shouted "Good!"
Then the worst voice to be heard at this point in time was my mom's shouting from our yellow, beat-up pick-up truck.
"Brentley honey! Time to go....say good-bye!"
I knew now was the time to go. I didn't want to leave her at all. But, I turned to her and gave her a big hug. She didn't believe in cooties thank goodness. She felt so warm, but at the same time scared.
I then turned around and walked towards the car. I hopped in the back-seat, waved good-bye to her, and as we drove off I saw her face. It made me experience the pain I had put on her. The pain that nobody ever wants to feel. I hoped to see her again. But for now, I had to leave her.
