A biologist in the Amazon Rainforest? You're going to need a cro-bar to pry him out.
We stayed in an Eco-Lodge named Posada Amazonas. They went for the "Open" concept room design there. A knee length curtain for the front door, one for the bathroom and only 3 walls... the 4th wall was a railing separating you from the largest jungle in the world.... SWEET!
Well... that's a half truth, there was a mosquito net, but you definitely can't beat falling asleep to "The Sounds of the Amazon Rainforest" without having to drop $20 on a CD.

Huayna Picchu, the mountain the looms over Machu Picchu. This is how it works. Machu Picchu gets around 5000 visitors a day. The first 400 through the door in the morning are offered passes to climb Huayna Picchu, where the Incan High Priest's temple was built. If you're not there early enough, game over dude, you get to watch from the bottom. Jason and I woke up at 330am to hike there, beat the buses and get those passes. Was it worth it? 100%
