Just as well Apple is compensating for the inferior weather reporting systems used by the airlines. Hopefully there'll be a day when we use iPhones to diagnose engine problems in Boeing.

When was the last time that a dispatcher talked to an F.O.?!??! Our dispatchers would tell him "let me speak with the guy with four bars"!

He says "WE" 5 times within 30 seconds and "I" only once when he looked at his phone. It seems like everyone was working together on this one because they used an ACARS(computer system) to talk to the dispatcher which could have been either pilot.

He's going from Chicago to EWR, and has a 3 hr.delay, and by the miraculous use of his wunder-phone, he's able to tell his apparently clueless dispatcher that the "rainshowers" have already moved off (presumably east) of EWR, and his dispatcher then gets his 3 hr. delay to go "poof"? Sorry, it's bovine fecal material.

Nice Job! for a 30 second commercial this is completely possible. (I talked to pilots about this.) Did anyone notice, Apple's stock was the highest in history right after this commericial aired?

That must be extremely edited because its not that easy for a flight to be delayed 3 hours and suddenly because a first officer on a flight has an iphone the flight departed. They must have been assigned a new route to go around the inclament weather.

he asked the dispatchers for a new route after he looked at the weather on his phone and the dispatchers gave it to him, and passed it along to the tower, his flight was quicker to get out when the traffic started moving again because they called for the new route sooner.(they did'nt say that in the commercial but should have.) still quick thinking by a smart pilot if you ask me........and FINALLY the truth in a commercial (Lipitor anyone?)
