@haaibaaithebest I already got the patch. If I hadn't downloaded the patch then I couldn't use it at all.

@haaibaaithebest I tried that...it didn't work. Changed the skybox, but not the lighting.

i googled and found the old hl2 maps and scenes. Copied them into the smod folder. and everything is a-ok.

@robertpicklesnickle Steam's May 2010 update of Half-Life 2 made all the Nova Prospekt, buggy driving, Black Mesa East, and the end of Ravenholm maps have fullbright on and it's impossible to turn off.
