We have chosen to visit South India, and especially the Western Ghats because of its rich biodiversity and high number of endemic species, including birds. The region provides unique opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife trips.

Our birding & wildlife tour in South India (Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka) was tailored
by Kalypso Adventures. We are especially thankful to Commander Thomas Zacharias for
the overall organisation and to Peter Augustin for his knowledgeable guiding
and pleasant company during the trip!

The footage of this video clip has been taken in the following places of South India, including national parks and reserves: Thattekkad, Periyar Tiger Reserve, Munnar, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, Ooty, Mudumalai National Park, Nagarhole National Park,
Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary.
