If I were in that audience in Cocoa, Fla., I think I would have backed out slowly, thinking this guy was crazy. Or maybe it'd be like a train wreck and you just can't stop watching him say crazy things. Yeah, Gingrich knows nothing about the moon if he thinks mirrors on its surface could help eliminate dark inner city areas. WHY IS HE DOING SO WELL???!! Are we Americans morons?! ... yeah, don't answer that ... the answer depresses me.

Amazingly (and I bet he doesn't know it) he has a point. The most promising method for containable fusion power involves the Helium-3 isotope. Problem is there is almost none on Earth but you can scrape it up off the Moon, If the theory plays out then we'd better have a mining outpost there when the oil runs out, But he IS nuts (mirrors on the moon to reduce light levels on earth?)
