@sodorstudios The bottom parts of the takealongs are plastic not metal. In the US we have a different gauge then the UK and all of europe do. You could use the marklin wheel sets, but if you are in the us they will derail at junctions.

@sodorstudios @sodorstudios Well, that's a downer for me. I only live in the USA and they don't sell Marklin brand trains in my country where I live. :( Also, do you know where I can get Marklin wheelsets for sale online besides The Markin trains website?
Would Bachmann wheelsets be also be reccomended for HO/OO Conversions like this?

@ThomasAndFanboy12 No,but you can try. I have done that with stepney but the wheels are isolated with a piece of plastic and sometimes the set doesn't fit under the chassis because of that piece .
marklin wheels are unisolated .

@donaldthescotishtwin No, i use an ironwire to push and pull the engines.
If you look good you sometimes can see it.
