This is a review of the ApeX 1.0.2.5 ROM for the Motorola Droid 2 and Droid X. This ROM is a mostly stock Android, a little bit of blur, and a lot of ApeX. Information about this ROM can be found here:

  • hello {kev0475 nothing work i waited all day then i put the battery back in and tryed to manualy boot the phone. the power & x button work when i press the volume up button and camera button nothing do you think the phone is dead an i wont be able to use it anymore?

  • @MrPescoeloyo You need to do an SBF Recovery. Click my name and there is a video on how to do it through Linux. There is also a windows method. Go to kimete dot com and into the main site. There is a video link under the main logo. Click that.

Before you do that though, have you tried wiping data and wiping cache. Do the X thing again, then press the magnifying glass, and you'll see recovery. And wipe cache, then wipe data.

  • hello darkonion i did the apex rom settings but some thing went wron my droid is stack on the android icon how can i reboot the phone to previos state can you help me i back up the memory before installing the rom what can i do did i mess up the phone this is a brand new droid 2 phone two weeks old can you help me?

  • @MrPescoeloyo If you created a back-up image in Clockwork, you can back up to that. The first boot of any ROM is always slow. So... give it like 5-6 minutes before you decide to go restore an image. If you didn't do that, consider doing an SBF Recovery.

  • Do you happen to know if you need to deodex to install this on 2.2.1?

  • @nvanadium I don't believe so. Pretty sure no.
