  • How do you format the .mod and .moi files that I get when I copy the files to my mac?

  • did you have to adjust the file to get it fullscreen or what they call widescreen.

  • It looks good, without HD. I wish it had HD...

  • i have this cam u need to use soft box lights or any kind of bright light

u just have to defuse it

  • check out my canon fs200 test video

  • @HelmetVanga Yes, with Sony Vegas you can just drag and drop the video and it will import easily. Here's how to render it in widescreen if you recorded it that way:

    1. Click File --> Render As...

    2. Use the template "NTSC DV Widscreen" or "PAL DV Widescreen" (depending on your country/region's video standards).

    3. Put a check next to "Stretch video to fill frame size (do not letterbox)."

    4. Edit other parameters as necessary.

    5. Hit "Save".

  • @Vmt16 Just take the card out and put it in a card reader.

  • @gloogur36 You could use MPEG Streamclip to convert the .mod file into whatever formats you need. Also look out for SDCopy, which you can use to get the videos off of the card and make them .mpg files. In both these programs you should be mindful of the switch that enables widescreen mode if you shot it in widescreen, else the video aspect ratio will be messed up (i.e. it will look squashed).

  • @carlosgrana It does have a built-in light. You could also get a video bracket with accessory shoe(s) to add an external light and mic.

  • Yeah, I returned my FS200, I had major problems in importing the video, I mean MAJOR. Get some other canon or a different brand, not this particular product
