Using a pencil (fitted with pinky and thumb aids) to practice violin bow grip. Proper hand movement makes good sound. This pencil/paper activity lets you focus on one hand at a time.

  • Working on it. It's a matter of lining up the time and the camera. Different doodads work for different kids. Some kids want their bows unadorned. I have a 10-year-old who wanted to know if he could "lose the bling." He did with my blessing. It's mostly a concentration thing, and hooray when you can graduate from the guides and use each finger to its unique advantage. Your hand is a team of 5.

  • Thanks for comment. Glad I could make some useful points with a plain old camera and no editing capabilities :)

  • I noticed that you have some extra pads or cushions to make your bow hold more comfortable. It would be great if you could make a video with some suggestions, thanks!
