Smoking is not a choice for ppl who are addicted to it. There is only one disease in America that kills more people per year that cigarettes. Obesity. Do you chose to be overweight? No! If you could, you would probly lose 50lbs, be able to breathe better, jog further, and be much more socially acceptable. YOU could lose weight, just like i could quit smoking. It would make us both better people, but you wont and neither will I because I AM HAPPY WITH BEING MYSELF, sooo
SUCK IT FATTY!

In one of your comments - you compare the smoking ban to racial segregation. That's not accurate at ALL. Cigarettes are KNOWN to cause cancer. Not only to the person smoking, but those forced to share the smoke filled air as well. The ban is a move to clean up indoor air in NC. I don't know what part of NC you are in, but here in Onslow County, most all restaurants permitted smoking before the ban. Most only separated the areas with a half wall which did not stop the smoke.

Its simply a way for the nc gov. to push thier weight around and prove to us thet they can push us around.
Furthermore
Smoking is(known) to cause cancer just like alcohol, cranberry sauce and MOON LIGHT! Cancer is not caught, you are born with cancer cells in your body all it takes is a certain number of cigs or turkey dinners to activate the cells in your body, So the law is bullshit along with purdue, her associates, and anyone with poor baby lungs cant handle it

i live in nc and i own my own restaurant. it is not a health it is about our public freedom. just like black and white ppl were segregated so should smokers and non smokers. non smokers have plenty of places to eat. Most all corporate buisness do not allow it. on the other hand the restaurants that "did" allow it were opperated by familys.
This is an attack not only on our freedom but also to the small buisness owner.
Ban obese ppl from resaurants, tell them to take their sweaty asses outside where they do not bother me with their oder. And i will be proud to smoke outside, standing next to the guy with the two big macs in each hand. LAND OF THE CANCER HOME OF THE STAIRMASTER!!!
long live america, land that i love. hahaha!!

I'm not obese friend. I'm a big guy, but I work out five days a week. I'm 6' 5" tall, and I weigh 250lbs. I bench a max of 400lbs, and work out with 280lbs. A desese is something that happens NATURALLY. Smoking is not a naturally occurring act (if you don't CHOOSE to start, you won't get hooked). I don't have a problem with you being a smoker, but you can smoke OUTSIDE public places. Save your cigarette money for something that WON'T just burn up. You CHOOSE to start smoking!

@VideoGuyNC if you bench 400lbs then im Beverly Purdue. Besides that. you choose to be fat by eating so much and not excercizing. so they are both addictions that are hard to break.

I don't give a shit if you believe what I say or not. I try to be professional, but stupidity often forces me to drop down to a juvenile level to exchange pleasantries with immature individuals. People (like yourself) who have no ground to stand on in arguments stray off topic to avoid looking like a stupid ass (like trying to deny that smoking is bad for you AND those around you who are forced to breath you STINKING, tobacco-saturated, pre-cancerous air).

no one forces you to breath smokey, nasty, slimy, cancer filled air. All restaurants that allow smoking are privately owned. All corporately owned buisness have a big no-smoking sign on the door. such as burger king, showneys, mcdonalds, pizza hut, dominos, wendys etc. because the corporations are based in the north like New York. these northern states already had the smoking ban long before we did.

The smoking ban is a GOOD thing for everyone. Anyone who has a problem with going an hour without a cancer torch has a problem with their addiction. I have an issue with you comparing the smoking ban to racial segregation. Race is not something one chooses. Smoking is! Why not simply promote burning plastic indoors? Wait that puts off harmful toxins doesn't it? SO DO CIGARETTES. No one is going to stop dining out, because the ban covers ALL restaurants. Enjoy some clean air!
