  • Kings and Royals didn't claim to have Gods permission; they indeed did & do have God's Divine right to ruel, God himself nvr meets with a parliament of angels 2 decide crtn things he is absolute, and in evrtng u must hv a head, one captain. No ship can sail with 2captains, you said that Rome was the first republic, Rome was an Empire, ruled by an Emperor a one man rule, "it is a serious sin to attack God's chosen King in any way" (1Samuel 24-26) Unless you prob, dnt beleive in the Bible now...

  • apparently you don't believe in history! Rome was indeed a republic long before it was an empire. It became an empire when their senate (not God) bestowed the title Emperor on Julius Caesar by vote.

as far as all your superlatives about ships and kings... well, simply put: i don't think the world is as simple as all that (in fact i speak out against reductionism quite a lot with this channel).

  • Yes before it became an empire it was indeed a republic, I thought you were reffering to the reign of the Ceasars, like Nero Ceasar, Augustus Ceasar and indeed Julius, the world indeed isn't simple but from fact it stands that God is absolute and is represented by the Pope who is indeed absolute and Europe thrived with architecture civilisation under monarchies.

  • indeed! many absolutes being thrown around. Divine Right is a perception. Kings often oppressed their people, and were overthrown with the claim that they had betrayed God's will. who knows God's will? i'm guessing from your tone that you're pretty confident that no one on this plane knows God's will better than you (except of course for that infallible Pope).

  • One who fears the future, will seldom question the past, and always doubts the present.

The next step in human social evolution is Cooperatist creating Cooperatism, within the context of individual and group relationship with others and all else, nothing needs to be sacrificed, other than fear.

  • @sadvipran & @priest008 : on piracy and the rule of ships, I've known a couple anarchists to bring up Marcus Rediker as an author writing about the lack of hierarchy on some. Peter Lamborn Wilson (aka Hakim Bey) too has written on this, and about Temporary Autonomous Zones (his coining) throughout various societies and subcultures, be they Pirates, Tongs, festivities, what have you.
