Second X-45A UCAV first flight

This 40 second movie clip shows the second X-45A UCAV taking off, flying and landing.

The Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle (UCAV) system demonstration program is a joint DARPA/Air Force/Boeing effort to demonstrate the technical feasibility for a UCAV system to conduct various strike missions within the emerging global command and control architecture. The demonstrations within the program are providing the information necessary to enable decision-makers to determine whether it is technically and fiscally prudent to continue development of UCAV aircraft to perform missions.

As far as I can tell the "Skat" cant carry anything, except on paper. I dont think its flown yet. People might say it has, but I havent seen any proof.

The future of warfare. We are getting close the "Terminator" technology and soon all fighting force that goes to the enemy line are robots, uav and ucavs. The don't fear death, they don't get tired and that would make them one formidable opponent. Just look at the technology we have right now, some of them are thanks to the military developement and research.

i hate the theory of UAVs and UCAVs, the jet pilot will always outclass a computer controlled "toy" with rockets strapped to it, we will always outclass them with human instinct over some guy with a joystick...

@Vlaudeimirz Then war would really become just an expensive business, and you could say that even that's not really true when some say that currency is kind of an illusion.

Autonomous systems could be given affect. Among other things: fear. It doesn't have to be potentially crippling fear though.
