SOS! Does anyone have a video of this performance?! I'd love to see Nick's psychosis in the middle of this amazing song!

@ZEYSamon No, it isn`t.
-
@aebipesche85 it is Blixa!!!
-
This ain't nothing compared to Nina Simone's version.

I'm confused, There's one that kimbqra sings and it sounds just like this, so she coppied it? I thought she wrote it herself...
-
Could be blixa - they both have (somewhat) similar vocals?
-
I do not understood that strange eye in the mountain, min..1,30 subliminal ad ??

@RedLeftFist No shame at all, no trickery --it's truly just a natural occurrence of sound recording.

Help me now for a sec: Do you guys also hear Nick in the background at 02:42 - 02:44? Sounds like 2 Nicks. Don´t get me wrong, i love Nick Cave, but that sounds pretty overdubbed... Wouldn´t be that tragic, lot of Bands do that.
I have the Album since 1995 and never noticed it.
Greetings

Well I don't think it's that serious as you think. He's done this in some 'I Let Love In' performances just to create a better atmosphere.
I think we can include this in his desire for perfection.. and he finds every way to achieve it.

I just wanted to point it out. I understand all those choices, when it comes to Live-recordings.

I believe that the two Nicks you are hearing in that break at 2:42 is not an overdub, but a pre-echo that is characteristic of recording on analog tape.
When a tape is wound on its reel, each wrap prints through to the next layer by means of a low level transfer of magnetic fields, over time seeping a faint copy of the audio.
You can usually only hear this echo when there's a silence or break, as we have here in this piece.
Hope that helps.

Well, faint copy in the original Live Seeds? Shame on them! It seems right though.
