  • No doubt, my vegan lifestyle was brought about by knowledge of factory farming in my 30s, but as a wee child I knew that I shouldn't be eating someone's flesh. It had nothing to do with religion. It was simply common sense. Huge production facility or small operation, it matters not. Look in your mouth. Your teeth aren't carnivorous. The strongest animals on the planet that pulled your plows and wagons don't eat flesh, they eat plants. Mercy? More important - common sense.

  • this just makes me sick to my stomach its just not right

  • @askalice50 What about our 4 canine teeth? They're there to help us consume meat. The primates which are most closely related to humans are omnivorous. The fact that some animals have evolved to be strong through herbivore diets is rather irrelevant. Common sense to me would be eating a diet which we have evolved on, which would include meat. The choice not to should be personal and not preached and forced into people's lives. Awareness of where our food comes from is a different issue.

  • God bless this video! Thank you for sharing this. The minute I opened my eyes to this cruelty in February (ironically by reading "The Omnivore's Dilemna" by Michael Pollen who does not promote vegetarianism) I went vegan in all areas of my life. I always struggled with a sense of guilt/ambiguity around food and I could never quite put my finger on it. I began to read about our environment, our animals, and our food and now I understand where it all came from.

  • Thank you for putting this together for us to see. It is shameful what we humans do to our animals.

  • @julievegggie i certainly don't disagree with you on that account. Satan is behind a lot, but I am confident that God can lead. Look, I'm trying to follow after Jesus. I'm not perfect, but last week a preacher was saying something about this, & it had been on my mind. This week a random youtuber I made friends with who didn't know I was in the church sent me this video. What more can I say, this is incredible.

  • Look, I eat meat, but locking animals in a cage like that is just wrong. I believe God provided animals for mankind's benefit, but not for him to abuse, mistreat, or waste. Personally I respect the hunter gather lifestyle the most as it gives the animal the most chance of survival in its own natural habitat. I didn't know most meat in america came from places like that, now I just gotta figure out where the meat I eat comes from & if possible, change that.

  • FALSE! The clips from this video aren't just from one or two "bad" factory farms - it is an industry standard! Get educated about the farms first, please!

  • Who cares, honestly, why do bible thumping toss pot losers keep posting crap like this? Do you think its going to change how I, or the rest of world feels? I just ate a chicken for dinner tonight, and last Sunday I had a nice beef roast.

Oh and btw, I do know about the cruelty that exists in factory farming. I know, and I don't care, because I am human! King of the food chain. I have an opposable thumbs and that, gives me the right.

  • Even if people think God gave us animals to eat (although I know he didn't) there's no way they can believe he ever wanted them to be treated this way.

  • Sadly the Church doesn't seem to care about God's creatures. We should be preaching the Good News (Gospel) to all creatures as Mark 16:15 states: "Go out and preach the Gospel to ALL CREATION" which includes animals.

Someday we will be held accountable for every creature as Hebrews 4:13 states.

    God's Creatures Ministry

  • If we think we can do such things to our fellow creatures with impunity we cannot. All we need do is open our eyes and be critically aware.

Look at the philosophic trends of human resources where now we are the production units. Look at the health care industry. Look at our financial sectors, our business models. Look at human trafficking.

Perhaps our chickens are coming home to roost.
