An edited round-trip in a logging truck hauling logs from the mountains of Trinity Valley, British Columbia, to a nearby processing sawmill in Coldstream Valley.
The video gives partial insight to the heavy equipment used in the Okanagan forest industry, the layout of the Okanagan terrain, and the highways and byways utilized.
Timber Industry is a major Okanagan Valley employer. Trees are a renewable resource. Great measures are taken to replenish trees to keep British Columbia viable and beautiful.
(If you're bored and care to spend 7 minutes watching a shaky video, this is for you. *Smiling* My camera has no audio option. In replacement of natural audio are a few songs. Hope they're not too off-putting.)
Grew up in Enderby, know the Trinity Valley very well. went to school in Ashton creek. My Dad was a logger in the late 50s and 60s. Logged that whole area over the years.
Thanks for posting. Brought back a few memories.

No need to thank me. Just glad you enjoyed the video and good memories came from it.
It's my Father in the video. [I merely host this page and answer questions to the best I can.]
I knew the Enderby/Ashton Creek area somewhat well back in the early 1970s. I can still envision the many mills, and the logging trucks parked in driveways from Enderby bridge to Ashton Creek. Loved the 1960s-stylewooden bridges and old-school '60s/'70s trucks. Miss those days.
Thanks again for watching.

Second song is CW McCall's Wolf Creek Pass.
CW McCall has a dozen or so fun songs of this nature from his 1978 CD.
