@MrRob77 For over two hundred years there was no ID requirement. This is a baldfaced push by the GOP to use a JIM CROW like law to limit many voters who they have never appealed to. Most elections are held locally by people who you already know in your community. So if your brother didn't have a government issues picture ID and you were a poll workers would you be forced to deny him his Constitutional right to vote. The GOP knows exactly what they are doing and it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Dr. Paul should read the Preamble to the Constitution since with some protected exceptions such as free speech, the right of well regulated militias to own guns, due process and the rest of the Bill of Rights, THEN there is MAJORITY RULE and if the MAJORITY of American voters want to outlaw heroin, then that is...the law of the land. Now could there be some cases where heroin should be allowed? Yes such as terminal ill cancer patients. But otherwise MAJORITY RULES.

@busbee85 no ID requirement? How the hell would we know who is voting for OUR elected officials then?

Ron Paul wins every debate.

I hate how every candidate's view mirror RON PAUL's views when before many have called RON PAUL crazy & a nut-case for standing for the CONSTITUTION-- what hypocrisy! Romney, Pawlenty, Ginrich, Santorum & Cain all quote from & seem to support the constitution but have no previous track-record to prove their promise or defend the constitution. Ron Paul, on the other hand, has a track record of 20+ yrs as congressman voting on issues defending the constitution as testament-- not just mere words!

Yeah ron Paul bring liberty back to this country and get rid of big government woo hoo! !!! You got my vote in nj
-
I hear ya . In total agreement - the troops belong defending OUR borders , not on foreign soil.
Serious question... If most people on the internet seem to agree with Ron Paul and would apparently vote for him, why has he not been elected President yet? On election day, he settles back down with a low percentage of votes, and it seems that he never had the support he seems to have had before the votes are counted.

@ftheccjake Elections are probably rigged. For the amount of money he brings in. The majority of active military support more than the other candidates. I can't imagine what it's like to be his campaign manager who has to constantly deal with the media blackout of Ron Paul.

@busbee85
I agree - there is evidence that the voting machines in Florida were actually rigged by a computer which changed votes ! Get rid of the electoral college , must show ID when you vote , get a copy of a record to show which candidate you voted for - we need more accountability in the flawed voting system . I believe most Americans ARE in agreement with Ron Paul on the majority of issues, but he would change the system too much and the fat cats don't want that .

@doogleandalix I agree with you, exept the whole showing I.D. thing. I don't even carry a drivers liscense. We shouldn't be required to have government issued I.D. The national I.D. card is the worst idea ever. Bad corporations will continue to hire illegals as usual because it is already illegal and they do it anyway. The only people that it will affect is law abiding Americans. I don't want to have to carry a freakin national I.D. card.

@busbee85
Actually, I'm the type to be totally against more government interference ,but although it is a pain the AZZ and a violation of privacy, if you have nothing to hide and are a legal citizen I guess a national ID card might be a necessary evil in order to insure that the person who is voting is who they claim to be and is here legally , voting once , a registered voter, etc. I can't think of an easier way to achieve that objective , can you ? I wish there was a way without ID card.

@doogleandalix thats like saying the illegal blood draws they do in Texas to stop drunk driving is ok. If you don't drink and drive, then who cares if the police stop you in a checkpoint and stick a needle in your arm. All of these things are never for what we are told they are for. It will so nothing to control illegals voting or to stop companies from hiring illegals. Non law abiding citizens or illegals or businesses will continue to break the law. Law abiding citizens will follow the law

@doogleandalix Its like gun control. The criminals want us to ban guns. Because they don't care about the law and will carry and use a gun anyway. Law abiding citizens will follow the law. So the only people that are hurt by gun control are law abiding citizens that can no longer protect themselves. The criminals don't care what laws we pass and impose on ourselves. The illegitimate businesses don't care if pass a national I.D. bill, they will hire illegals anyway. Illegals can't vote
