  • oh well mine has 4 GB Ram (2 X 2 GB) as the only upgrade. I need some help with a new graphics card

  • just put it in the slot that fits the new graphics car, then plug your monitor into the monitor plug for that graphics card, and finally boot the pc up,and go to set program and acess and then click "detect new hardware" then install the new graphics card.oh and hope your display driver doesnt crap out on you.

  • well lol i meant i need some suggestions on which one to get i don't have a new one yet sorry for misexplaning lol

  • yahoo up the question.

  • @Porsche1080 I doubt you still need a suggestion, but I would reccomend the PNY PCI (Not PCI-E) 512mb Geforce 8400gs if your thinkcentre has a PCI Slot like mine does.

  • @johnwest19992 Early Febuary, I got this thing working again (My mom unleashed a virus through iambored.org, making to where it can't remember validation after BIOS Restoration) by just replacing all the preloaded stuff on there with a fresh copy of XP (Bonus: SP3 Was already Installed on it.

  • @johnwest19992 Most likely the hard drive turning on. It was 4 years old at the time.

  • @SrryIThoughtUWasCorn haha, it's fine. I just got a new thinkpad, but thanks anyways

  • @Porsche1080 OK this is late but here is a little help if ur ever needing a vid card, look first for a AGP slot, PCI, or PCI express (best one). AGP brown, PCI white, PCI-E is away from most PCI's. So yah I suggest Any of the Gforce or ASUS for future Cards.and use 512MB or higher

  • @Robloxian182 I started with eMachine and I still have that MACHINE today, it doesn't really suck, it has Windows ME for god's sake! I stand by it even though it's Celeron upgraded and PC133 SDRAM upgraded to 256MB maximum and no AGP, no advanced Graphics it just restores ME on any hard drive I attach! paid for itself in spades!

  • Ppl want to view tech on YouTube to get more familiar with it, it's not too big a surprise, tech stuff IS interesting even in debate. Anywho, I got a large ThinkCentre now on my video, the mobo is not working and needs replacement but kept the parts
