yo people I think he meant that comment in the sense of , if your religious- and your dating an atheist your both not going to be on the same page in terms or the 'moral barometer' just cause of the many traditions and practices a religious person would have compared to those of an atheist who may have fewer. gheez ya'll take everything people say so literal , he's in an interview - wants to push out all his views he's not gonna try be politically correct 100% of the time relax

@thr3e43 People with differing “opinions” can be together. But in the realm of long lasting happiness & spiritual & emotional peace, togetherness can prove to be a daunting task. A friend of mine is an atheist w/a Christian spouse. The 2 love each other but argue over how to raise their kids. 1 spouse wants the kids to pray to God. The other doesn’t want their kids to be indoctrinated. One’s religious belief is a defining characteristic that shouldn’t be ignored when marriage is being considered

Apparently he has never been discriminated against for being black, since he can talk like that about the - well I guess - 'new minority' aka atheists..

@fahd08 I'm curious why you feel individuals with differing opinions can't love one another, through shared morals and mutual respect. If an atheist and a Christian share congruent values, then the source of their morality is irrelevant. Furthermore, you're only isolating yourself in an echo chamber of your own dogma, an incredibly divisive act that is antithetical to both Christian *and* humanist worldviews. It's extraordinarily hypocritical.
