The number of new users of map products is large and growing. New technology allows manufacturers of the products increased opportunities to adapt these to both professionals and other users. Visualization of non-professionals is far more important than before. With this background, GI Norden in cooperation with the Norwegian Mapping and GeoForum have implemented the Nordic course in cartography.

GeoForum is a nation-wide ideal and independent membership association within the field of geomatics. The association, founded in 1969, has local branches covering all the 19 counties of Norway. There are no formal membership requirements. The association serves professionals at all levels from government, county and municipal departments, institutions and private companies.
