Leaders of 'exgay' organizations such as Exodus International like to assert change is possible and point to themselves as proof that 'change is possible.'

In this series of interviews survivors of 'exgay' programs explain how they too once believed their sexual orientation only to realize later a genuine change had NOT occurred.

  • this reminds me of my friends family. a few months ago his parents divorced. this was because after all the years of hiding, his dad ended up cheating on his mother with some other guy. A week ago, his father killed himself by overdose.

This all started when his father attempted "exgay" therapy more than 10 years ago.

all it does is fuck people up in the head. it doesn't "help" people. it only teaches them to lie to themselves.

  • His story is very sobering and moving. My hat off to him and his late partner for speaking up agst the sheer nonsense of Exodus from what it's like to have been on the inside.

  • @Hairspray1979 Unfortunetly brainwashed is what you are. If you really believed you're "cured", you must really hate yourself bro. You disgust me

  • This 1 minute and 33 seconds is the best answer to so-called "ex-gay" "therapy" I've come across so far. This should be shown to everyone who has ever been--or ever will be--subjected to "reparative therapy." It could save lives.

  • scripture says that if you seek god with all your heart, soul, and strength, then he will give you a sound mind.

  • well said.

  • Intresting how it worked for some of us. If it doesnt work, then umm why did it?

  • I tried an ex gay program through exodus international and was never so close to doing myself serious physical damage in my life. It's extremely scary the damage some of these people can do, when they're going under the banner of "helping" people.

  • I really like him, I wish I can find someone like him.
