Watched the airing of this show on PBS last night. Was sad to see them cut Victoria's number, Laura's, Marin & Jason's duet, etc. Also, did Joanna Gleason not sound even better than she did 20 years ago? WOW. Now, re: Donna Murphy... I freaking love "CILY?", but the only rendition I ever liked was Alexis Smith's. It's really hard to pull off that song. When I heard that Donna sang it, I thought, "I BET she killed it. She totally killed it." (In a good way, mind you.) AND SHE DID! Oh. Em. Gee.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this review. You really make me feel like I was (sort of) there. I know a girl who plays Fredrika in ALNM right now, and she performed in that concert....I almost died of envy, not gonna lie. I think if I saw Donna Murphy live I would totally embarrass myself. Anyway.....thanks for your awesomeness! Can't wait for the DVD release!

I was there on the first night. AND TALKED TO SONDHEIM FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS DURING THE INTERMISSION. This vlog sums up my feelings about it - though I also loved Chip Zien and Joanna Gleason singing 'It Takes Two', and the two Sweeneys performing together!

I'm fairly sure that if I had gone, this is almost exactly how my review vlog would have gone. I don't think I would have stopped crying the entire time. Thanks so much for indulging me with your accounts of the night. I actually wouldn't have minded if were to have done a minute-by-minute recount of the whole evening. :]
I need that DVD as soon as humanly possible, and I have a feeling that they will release a companion album.
