  • those cans are from the onsite dairy for the hershey plant built in 1896 to allow him to refine the process for making milk chocolate. that may not be an 1896 millk can but that's where it came from still. My grandmother had extended family in Hershey PA. never been to the factory but i know a little about the place from hearing them talk. initially it started out as a caramel company after a false start on the chocolate thing. then later he got back into chocolate and the rest is history
