dude i love remo drum heads sooo much

@joedmagg That's technically not true, the reason you play on the edge is so you can move from drum to drum efficiently and not look like a spazz. Since he wasn't playing anything fast that would need that there is no need for him to play on the edge. You're not even supposed to play on the edge, you play 1 to 2 inches away from the edge. He wasn't looking spazzy, so he wasn't doing anything wrong. :)

Those drums sound like crap...

@AceDrumm3r no he's playing in the right playing zones.

@JaxAkaJT Hitting in the center of the drums is considered hitting the "Dead Zones" next time you're near your tenors play something simple hitting the centers of your heads and then play the same thing on the edges. Hitting the edges lets the drums sing, if you will.

@cantinman23 is it a must to hit the edges? im a beginner on tenor~ found it quite hard. whats the difference?
@joedmagg I want you to watch this again and really focus on where he is hitting the heads...It might sound like he's hitting the center...but in reality he is on the edges...the sound you are hearing is a byproduct of the hazy head...the coating shortens the sound and makes it more defined...Jim Bailey has been doing this for many years and has had several championship DCI drumlines...he knows what he's doing.
