  • I can't stand how MLB trashes the traditionsof this sport and this country. They've destroyed our sacred stadiums, for greed, and imported these fat-assed, non -Engloish speaking, mud foreigners to replace our American ball-players. I curse these scumbags!!! I used to be an avid follower, prior to the '95 season, but I haven't since. Fuck MLB!! Drop dead you traitors!!

  • Who would destroy a place where the beatles played man

    the cavern + shea

fuck the future haha we always rebuild no tradition

  • mets fan all my life...but citi field SUCKSS

  • I agree. I was talking to someone the other day and they asked, "What gives the Mets the right to honor Robinson, he was a Dodger!". I did not have a response. I do honor Jackie, and know he was an amazing player, but again, he was a Dodger. It shouldn't have looked like Ebbets Field, I agree, they should have just kept Shea, because to me, it was perfect.

  • I have total respect for Jackie Robinson, and it's good he was honered with his number being retired from every team. However, Gil Hodges was a Dodger also, and Tom Seaver was know as the "Franchise", Ciitfield while it's going to be an awesome Stadium, shouldn't look like Ebbets Field in the first place. That Rotunda should honer either Gil Hodges, or Tom Seaver or both. Why can't the Dodgers honor Jackie Robinson. J. R. never played a day for the Mets. Wilpon is senile.

  • yeah, but the design of Citi's exterior is modeled after Ebbets field so it makes some sense that it is the jackie robinson rotunda.

  • this stadium is coming out GREAT! The New York Mets are going to eat everyone HAHA. I kant wait to goto opening day against the Padres

  • WOW cant wait. I have tickets to the second home game. This stadium looks beauiful. awesome pictures. Kudos. Dont really care for the spring training pics though. So are they gonna change the whole Willets Point/Shea Stadium stop on the train? CANT WAAAAAIT!!!!

  • i just got a free tour of citi field planned for next week! my mom is really good friends with the tickets events planner and a lady at the mets front offices and shea pitched the idea to them about giving everyone with season tickets an early tour to sell more and they took the advice and now offer it to anyone who buys season tickets.

  • I grew up with Shea Stadium, but looks like Citifield is going to be awesome, I hope they have Tom Seaver throw out the first pinch. My only complaint like so many other Met fans, is that the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, should be called either the Tom Seaver Rotunda or the Gil Hodges Rotunda or use both names would be awesome, just think, the Tom Seaver/ Gil Hodges Rotunda, that would be so awesome, let the Dodgers or Giants build a tribute to Jackie Robinson.
