Yeah I noticed that over the past few year his weight has gone up and down. It happens when you are older. On the kid's latest project "Death Comes to Town", he's looking slimmer then on this interview.

Actually, George is one of the best prepared, fully-researched interviewers in the history of television. Perhaps you're just not used to seeing a true professional committed to his craft. Maybe you've been watching too much American television where it's all pre-approved questions by the artist and their people. That's not an interview - that's a commercial. But I suppose you're entitled to your opinion. I hope you get to appreciate him more over time.
